There is a Foie Gras demo this evening at 5pm meet at Holborn tube. We will be demonstrtaing at a restaraunt.....we ahve placards. Bring anything noisy.
Re : today's police demo....maybe I missed something.....but where was everyone?
And to the bunch of cunts who did absolutely NOTHING when a {non cop} protester was grabbed by police, you should be ashamed of yourselves. Other than that incident which didn't result in arrest and getting an eansy weansy minor shove myself {I think it was a "man" thing...} it went off peacefully so far....looking foward to seeing the pics of the spoof police stall....well done to you!!

Just outside of Paris at the Areva TD factory in Montrouge, 89 striking workers have been occupying and blockading the factory for four days.The movement began after management announced plans to close the factory, which produces electrical transformers. Workers are demanding large compensation payments, management is currently refusing to negotiate.

Two more factories occupied in Serbia - a letter of support

In the town of Zrenjanin, in Serbia, an interesting development is happening following a long term struggle of the Jugoremedija factory which following occupations and direct actions is now under self managment. Two other factories in the town have now followed suit and the workers have started occupying their workplaces. These are rare but inspiring examples of resistance to the devastations of privatisation and the tentacles of neo liberalism in the east. Below is a letter of support.

Blood Service workers fighting back

January 7th saw the return of MPs to Parliament. It also saw the IWW co-ordinate an international phone blockade. Wobblies chose to celebrate the occasion by sending a message to the Health Minister - Alan Johnson - that cuts to the National Blood Service are not acceptable. Phones were tied up all day as campaigners and supporters from as far afield as Poland, Canada, and the United States, as well as hundreds from around the UK, took part. The IWW in the UK has an active and growing job branch in a National Blood Service processing centre.
