"This is for Mercadona" they told J.C. member of CNT and of the strike comitee of Mercadona when five individuals came up to him in the street at night, while they beated and kicked him lying in a puddle of blood until he lost conscience. He was carried by an ambulance to the Red Cross where he recieved treatment of craneal traumatism and contusions and must be sutured in different parts of his body.

Today, (18th October) Shari Vahl on BBC Radio 4’s You and Yours programme investigated a businessman called John Bridle. His company “Asbestos Watchdog” has claimed to be:

“The only UK organisation that can provide unbiased information about asbestos”

The BBC claim that two of the UK’s biggest house builders have been using an asbestos surveyor who is carrying out analysis which the Health and Safety Executive say is illegal.

The Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) today congratulated the people and government of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea for successfully and safely carrying out its first-ever nuclear test and hailed the successful test as a “militant assertion of national sovereignty and the right of an independent country to develop its own powerful self-reliant defense capability amidst constant efforts by the US to impose its imperialist hegemony over the world, maintain its monopoly of nuclear weapons along with a few other powerful countries, and subvert the sovereign will of the DPRK.”
