Aufhebengate -Fuck off Libcom

19-01-2013 14:43

I want to draw everyone's attention to this article by Sam FantoSamotnaf.

 http://dialectical-delinquents.com/?page_id=9

"From Millbank to Quebec, via Athens, Tunis, Suez, Oakland, Barcelona and countless other places, the crowd has confronted the forces of the state with varying degrees of success and failure, of non-violent and violent tactics, over the last couple of years. Ostensibly these outbreaks of class war have been supported and encouraged by the “libertarian communist” section of the supposed movement against capitalism, including those publishing extreme anti-state and anti-commodity theory. So when, in January 2011, the TPTG, a small Greek group, discovered that John Drury, a significant “theoretician” and long-standing member of the self-styled anti-state communist group Aufheben, had been helping the cops with a divide and rule strategy for the very same crowds that this group ostensibly wanted to contribute to radicalising, they were shocked and sent out, to their English speaking friends in London and elsewhere, requests for some strategy of how to deal with this information. After several months of a combination of mainly indifference and ideological obstacles from some and out and out resistance on the part of people closest to Aufheben as well as the rest of the members of Aufheben, the TPTG and myself publicised (on Libcom Blog and elsewhere) this information on the internet in October 2011 (see The strange case of Dr.Johnny and Mr.Drury on this site). As a result we encountered a deluge of denial, contorted evasions and the most stupid defences of a clear-cut case of collaboration. The resulting scandal became known as Aufhebengate."

Austerity: Another Word For War.

10-01-2013 14:49

The article equates global austerity to a condition of large-scale 'war' by the upholders of the capitalist mode of production - against the rest of society. The article considers two possible lines of resistance and defence which could put ordinary people onto a self-reliant and defensive war footing.

Justice for the Halesowen 4

07-01-2013 14:35

A protest was held this morning at 8:00 outside every entrance to Halesowen College demanding justice for the Halesowen 4. David Muritu, Branch Secretary for Halesowen UCU, was dismissed from his job as Maths lecturer at Halesowen College on December 20th. The College failed to follow their own disciplinary procedure or ACAS guidelines (no evidence was presented 3 days in advance of the hearing), without anything other than deductive reasoning (his sacking was linked to results, with no regard for competency procedure or accurate review of statistical significance (his results are above national average). David has been rated as a grade 2 (good) lecturer by the College's own observation system. Three more Maths Lecturers, all of them active UCU members, face disciplinary procedures and the imminent possibility of dismissal.

Peaceful Revolution in Great Britain is about to begin in filthy Enfield slum

21-12-2012 20:19

A peaceful Revolution in Great Britain is about to begin soon and the Resistance is right now preparing to march on Westminster with more than one million people who will camp outside the Houses of Parliament and stay there until we have succeeded in arresting the government for all their crimes and corruption, and for declaring War on the Children.
The politicians will be charged with theft, fraud, deception, false pretenses, corruption, crimes against the People and against the environment, for crimes against humanity and for war crimes, in a bloodless coup where the guilty politicians, bankers, and corporate bosses will face trial, life imprisonment, and possibly the death penalty as well.

Worldwide Children's Revolution Candlelit Vigil Outside Enfield Council Offices

17-12-2012 14:33

A worldwide Children's Revolution in every town and village and city on the earth is being proposed by eco-warriors in Britain who are suggesting that the first peaceful candlelit vigil should begin very soon outside the offices of Enfield Council in Enfield, north London, England.
The basic idea is that all the women and children who are concerned about the slaughter of the innocents in wars and other atrocities should remember the victims peacefully in continuous candlelit vigils everywhere as 2012 is drawing to a close and the New Age is about to begin and Christmas is approaching.

Workfare’s Christmas Bonus For The Bosses

08-12-2012 21:55

Poundland
Saturday 8th December marks the start of a week of action against workfare [1] and shops that profit from the free labour supplied by the taxpayer. The national day of action is focusing on charities, however as there aren't many charity shops in the city centre and since a protest last month outside British Heart Foundation who announced they were stepping back from workfare[2] it was decided to take action over companies that profit from free Christmas temps at our expense. In Birmingham anti-workfare protesters gathered outside Poundland, a local company using workfare. As the protest began to grow with people joining after coming from the nearby Starbucks tax dodging action the group decided to move off in search of other shops using workfare. They didn't have to walk far when round the corner they arrived at Argos, a particularly unpopular shop amongst Birmingham Workfare activists. In Birmingham last year, Boycott Workfare was told by someone who applied for a temp job at Argos, but didn’t get it and then subsequently got sent there on workfare that they had more people on workfare than paid temps. In light of this the group made the decision to occupy the shop. The occupation was more successful than expected, security - the same people who a week earlier had assaulted a protester by punching them in the face at the occupation of the Adidas shop[3] – had obviously been told to back off and not go round punching people, let the occupation carry on as long as the occupiers wanted. After the queues at Argos had become visibly shorter the group decided that there were other shops who needed to be targeted and so ended the occupation. The next stop on the Workfare tour was Superdrug where flyers were handed out before moving on to the last stop on the tour McDonald’s. Here the protesters were joined by Birmingham Food not Bombs activists who set up a stall outside McDonald’s and began handing out free vegan burgers.
