Prosecutors take on Genoa police


Italian prosecutors have requested the indictment of 29 riot police for alleged brutality against protesters at the G8 summit in Genoa three years ago.
Prosecutors accuse the officers of inflicting injuries on anti-globalisation activists during a pre-dawn raid on a school.

Valentines RTS in San Francisco

San Francisco: Reclaim the Streets and Desires: The RTS Valentine's Day Street Party began at 12 noon at Haight & Stanyan streets on Saturday February 14th. A ship of about 300-400 pirates marched from Golden Gate park and eventually took over the block of Haight & Ashbury and the party was in full swing with a full-on sound system with rotating djs, a pirate marching band, street theater, couches, mattresses, paint splattered on GAP, and an impromptu soccer game in the middle of the street. There was also a breakaway solidarity action that marched to the nearby Safeway. Read more >>

Genoa G8 - final charges of 'criminal association' dropped

On Tuesday 3rd Feb 2004, all 93 people arrested & beaten in the raid on the
Diaz school in Genoa 2001 were finally discharged from the accusation of
"criminal association".
The 73 police who are now accused have been refused permission to move their
