Simian Reason & Great Apes

27-06-2008 20:23

The greater simians comprising chimpanzees, gorillas and orangutans are now to enjoy 3 rights - that of life, Protection of individual liberty & Prohibition of torture.

I argue that this long campaigned for victory belongs not only to animal rights campaigners but to all those who are committed to secular and humanist society.

Dig soil&sand into your bin to shutdown toxic incinerators for Victory now!!!

27-06-2008 13:38

add 5 buckets + of soil & sand+other safe particulate unflammable as possible material to bottom of your bin before filling up. If you live by seaside your lucky, sand is still kept at petrol stations in buckets for a reason. This should seriously help shut the illegally toxic incinerators which regularly breach emissions.

Climate Change: The lost generation, and possibly much more

27-06-2008 10:05

Read the article Rising seas threaten west Antarctic, and it’s all but impossible to think, yet again, of all the chances to take serious, desperately needed action on CO2 emissions that we’ve thrown away over the last twenty years. What could trigger such a bout of depressing navel staring?

The freedom to care, the freedom to share and the freedom to just be a human being... come and debate this with us on American Independence Day at 6-8pm in Grosvenor Square. Feel free to join us and celebrate your freedom ;-)

Zimbabwe at War

27-06-2008 03:16

This is a war between revolutionaries and counter-revolutionaries; between nationalists and quislings; between Zimbabwean patriots and the US and Britain.

Should an election be carried out when a country is under sanctions and it is has been made clear to the electorate that the sanctions will be lifted only if the opposition party is elected? Should a political party which is the creation of, and is funded by, hostile foreign forces, and whose program is to unlatch the door from within to provide free entry to foreign powers to establish a neo-colonial rule, be allowed to freely operate? Should the leaders of an opposition movement that takes money from hostile foreign powers and who have made plain their intention to unseat the government by any means available, be charged with treason? These are the questions that now face (have long faced) the embattled government of Zimbabwe, and which it has answered in its own way, and which other governments, at other times, and have answered in theirs.
