Arrest Mugabe for Torture - Peter Tatchell

The suspension of Zimbabwe from the Commonwealth is purely symbolic. It does nothing to weaken President Mugabe's grip on power or to curtail his murderous tyranny. The most effective sanction would be to issue warrants for the arrest of President Mugabe on charges of torture under the UN Convention against Torture 1984.

The hearing went the only way it could have gone really. There is no dispute about who owns it so we went to court on Monday the 25th of March to try and get some discression from the judge.The judge was totally sympathetic to the aims of the OK cafe and seemed genuinely gutted that he had to provide the necessary bit of paper to chuck everyone out.
