Ahmad Batebi in danger!
Ahmad Batebi gained international fame and became the symbol of resistance against the dictatorship in Iran after his picture was published on the cover of The Economist during the student and popular uprisings against the Islamic regime in July of 1999. He has been abducted during a short medical break from Evin prison and his life is in serious danger.

Liverpool is developing a gay village, but what will this really add to the lives of gay people in Liverpool? Gay villages began because of persecution, but I would argue that over time they have actually become oppressive rather than empowering. They have created a set of stereotypes for gay and bi people

Can Indimedia run a central column article to counter this homphobia surrounding Prince Charles.
Already many foreign news papers and web sites have screamed words like gay or faggot.
This is the case with most local news papers too. This attitude of being gay is wrong is not acceptable.
We need a voice of reason.

International Transport Workers Federation (ITF) affiliated unions are urging Austrian Airlines (AUA) subsidiary Lauda Air to terminate its air services to Burma. AUA is the only Eirpean airline to serve this country ruled by a brutal dictatorship.
