UG#687 - Is 50 Years Enough? (The JFK assassination and the 9-11 Attacks)

13-07-2014 05:15

Audio
This week we conclude Mark Gorton's Fifty Years of the Deep State, which centers on 9/11, though it pursues avenues which we have not explored much on the show before. This is accompanied by veteran Deep Politics researcher, Peter Dale Scott, speaking on the 50th anniversary of JFK's assassination. Numerous parallels present themselves between the 9/11 and the JFK assassination, from the set up to the government cover-up commissions that strove in the face of huge evidence to the contrary to forge a shallow political narrative.

'No ILF, No Life' 4th July Independence Tea Party

05-07-2014 18:30

Placard and T-shirt

Yesterday the 4th of July 2014, independent living fund receipents supported by many disabled activists and other campaign groups held an independent living fund tea party at the DWP.

Wearing the bright yellow t shirts with no ilf no life we made our way to HQ....they placed crash barriers in front of the visitors doors and placed G4s security guards behind the crash barriers. I spoke to one of them and said that we had a right to protest against the Government who were hurting disabled people so cruelly with one horrendous policy after another. He said yes you have. But you are not coming in

Put your hands up and slowly step away from the wheelchair.

"Making a hand gesture of someone with a severe disability, the police officer mocked the activist. It reminded me of a sketch from the worst of a Bernard Manning show. The other officers greeted the impression with chilling laughter, nothing more than a reflection of the thoughts, gestures and actions of this government to the most vulnerable in our society." – ACAB

Newsflash: Labour Doesn’t Care About You

27-06-2014 17:03

The Class War continues
It turns out the Left can move people – just not very far or in very interesting directions.

Seeing as how these things are usually rained out or freezing, The People’s Assembly at least managed to pick a nice enough day for their “No More Austerity: Demand the Alternative” march on Saturday (June 21st).

It’s a shame they couldn’t also have picked a more inspiring message – begging the government to stop the public service cuts they’re ideologically committed to and demanding a new Labour government as the only ‘alternative’ they can imagine. Hardly an Earth shatteringly radical call to arms for the poor and oppressed. But they do have Russell Brand, so that’s something.

The 3-in-1 revolution

21-06-2014 03:32

At the risk of oversimplifying the definition of revolution, I dare say it involves three dynamics: critique and destruction of the existing social order, building a new world, and the continuous reinvention of the self.

Struggle for National Democracy

20-06-2014 13:45

This book by Jose Maria Sison is a historical record of the legal struggle for national liberation and democracy against U.S. imperialism, feudalism and bureaucrat capitalism in the 60s and early 70s. It was the principal legal study material in discussion groups and schools of national democracy which educated the youth cadres and militants from 1967 through the First Quarter Storm of 1970 to the declaration of martial law in 1972.

UG#685 - The US Deep State, 1963-1981 (Coup of 63, The Cabal, Watergate Coup...)

14-06-2014 18:44

Audio
This week, I read the first half of one of the most remarkable essays I have ever come across on the subject of Deep Politics. In our first hour, we read Mark Gorton's compelling Fifty Years of the Deep State which traces a secret thread from the assassination of JFK, through the assassinations of RFK & MLK to Watergate, Ford, Carter and up to the Iran hostages affair. Our first hour concludes with Peter Dale Scott speaking on the US "overworld". In our second hour, a deconstruction of the Ford presidency and the Watergate coup from the inimitable Webster Tarpley.
