Protest outside Lib Dem constituency offices
Two Oxford campaign groups did a 'chicken flashmob' at the Liberal Democrat Constitiuency Offices todayat 1pm. They protested against cuts to universities and other public services. The 50 protesters dressed as chickens, claiming that both Nick Clegg and Vince Cable, the country's top two Liberal Democrats, pulled out of visits to Oxford because they do not want to face protests.

Airlines workers protest, appeals to Philippine President to stop layoff

The Philippine Airlines Employees’ Association (PALEA) today returned to Mendiola for a rally to appeal to President Benigno Aquino III to stop the mass layoff of 2,600 employees at Philippine Airlines (PAL). PALEA submitted a formal petition to the Office of the President appealing for presidential intervention to suspend the implementation of the Baldoz decision pending its review.
