Apppeal to anti-war organizations to oppose the increasing threats against Iran

A storm of developments is dramatically increasing tensions between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran. 1,000 Demonstrators Marked 5 Years of Protest in Bil'in by Dismantling the Wall

One week following the victory forcing Israel to begin rerouting the path of the Wall (1), and under the shadow of an unprecedented wave of repression(2) against the popular struggle, over a thousand protesters took part in a demonstration at the west Bank village of Bil'in, marking five years of struggle there. At the height of the demonstration dozens of protesters stormed the Barrier, toppled some 40 meters of it and crossed to village's lands. Protesters also managed to take over a military post adjacent to the path of the Wall for a short time.

In recent weeks a struggle has begun to emerge at the University of Leeds. The university management is claiming that they need to cut spending by £35 million due to the economic crisis. The lecturers union (UCU) rightfully claims this could cause the loss of 700 jobs. The effects will go beyond just job losses but will continue the degradation of education caused by deep rooted systematic problems.

UKCMRI to use £300 million of public funds for Camden Bio Lab

Plans to build the World's largest ever Bio Lab including the World Flu Centre alongside St Panrcas International behind the British Library will cost the UK £300 million from public funds. Already the govt and the MRC have argued over this. A parliamentary report says of funding the lab : "We are at a loss to understand the rationale behind this behaviour" and "It is hardly redolent of good faith".

The rumours of fascism and Blood & Honour in Elephant Head Camden are unfounded

Recently claims were made by an Italian speaking poster that Blood & Honour fascists were meeting in the Elephants Head in Camden on Camden High Street London. Posts written by either an Italian person or Italian speaking person appear to be have been made maliciously. Anti fascists have checked out the pub & have found no evidence of this & it seems like a vendetta against the pub or rumours.
