Laissez-faire Capitalism, Desensitisation and Moral Bankruptcy

15-06-2007 11:08

Two events in particular typify the modern age, the exploitation or rather the reduction of poor, exploited and victimised humans as body part suppliers -- kidneys in particular -- and the vacuous, worthless celebrity of a no-talent, mindless, American rich girl whose presence in the mass media is constant. While millions suffer injustices, tortures and hardships, Paris Hilton is served for mass consumption; coverage of the horrific trade in living human body parts is avoided for obvious and shameful reasons!

Michael Heseltine is exposed as an idiot for plugging Ken Livingstone's lies

15-06-2007 10:10

The BBC Radio 4 Today programme broadcast a solemnly pronounced news item about Margaret Thatcher’s 'deputy Prime Minister' Michael Heseltine calling for a system of local government in Britain that can only be described as the mass mayorisation of big cities. Heseltine made a particular point of calling for British cities to ape the USA and get a mayor in every excusable place

14-06-2007 22:25

The one-state solution for Palestine-Israel is "gaining ground," a senior UN diplomat has admitted in a leaked confidential report. Recently retired UN special envoy Alvaro de Soto wrote "that the combination of [Palestinian Authority] institutional decline and Israeli settlement expansion is creating a growing conviction among Palestinians and Israeli Arabs, as well as some Jews on the far left in Israel that the two State solutiuon's best days are behind it."

Exposing the Crossrail hole plot-backing Alan Johnson's Brick Lane prance!

14-06-2007 16:51

In Brick Lane yesterday [Wednesday 13 June 2007] Khoodeelaar! the campaign against Crossrail hole Bill greeted UK Education Secretary Alan Johnson with a demand that he renounce his voting for Crossrail Bill. Johnson was in the Brick Lane 'curry district' touting for votes from ethnicity-linked members of the Blaired Party in Johnson’s bid to become deputy dummy. Khoodeelaar! loudly told the world that Johnson was a hypocrite for visiting Brick Lane the very area that he had repeatedly voted to have devastated by Crossrail hole

Mesud Barzani is liable for destabilising both Iraq and Turkey.

14-06-2007 13:21

The consequence of American invasion to Iraq in April 2003 and its limitless support to the Kurdish allies in Iraq had caused numerous damages to Iraqi internal affairs and a real chaos to the neighbourhoods. Recently the sovereignty of Turkey is violated by the separatist Kurdistan Workers’ communist party rebels (PKK) following Mesud Barzani, the leader of KDP’s latest threats to Turkey.

Of Crazies, Neocons and the Enemy Within

13-06-2007 22:26

Beginnings

An all too familiar and ominous echo is reverberating through the American landscape, once more blasted into the airwaves, and our minds, through the Ministry of Propaganda and its merry bunch of sycophants and stenographers. For yet another consecutive year since three monolithic towers were demolished, imploded and systemically brought down onto their own footprints in a catalyzing event unleashing a new American century, Americans are hearing the fiery rhetoric of imminent danger, a cocktail of fear, terror and warmongering fed our enemy-addicted culture, aimed both at stirring conflict with Iran and conditioning our minds into accepting the coming attack on yet another Muslim nation that poses no threat to the mighty Empire.

Reflections on Rostock

13-06-2007 20:36

Rostock showed us the system is rotten, the planet is ailing, neo-liberalism is struggling to survive, alternatives have taken a toehold in Latin America but still have to metamorphose from the pages of philosophers into real life elsewhere.

Daniel Pipes Details Israeli Attack Against Iran

13-06-2007 15:27

Earlier this week, warmonger and Israel Firster Joe Lieberman said “I think we’ve got to be prepared to take aggressive military action against the Iranians to stop them from killing Americans in Iraq,” predicating, as neocons are wont, his argument on allegation. Now we have yet another Israel Firster and former United States Institute of Peace—as in war is peace—board member nominee, Daniel Pipes, calling for an attack against Iran.

ephemera 7.1: 'Immaterial and Affective Labour: Explored' online

13-06-2007 12:38

The new issue (7.1) of ephemera: theory & politics in organization, entitled "immaterial and affective labor: explored," has just been published at  http://www.ephemeraweb.org. This latest special issue offers a critical engagement with the conceptual and political territory animated by the deployment of such ideas in the work of Hardt, Negri, Lazzarato, Virno and others, and follows previous explorations of class composition and politics in ephemera (for instance in the issues on 'the theory of the multitude' and 'writing: labour').

CASMII calls for ethical journalism in response to Observer article on Iran

13-06-2007 01:00

The Campaign Against Sanctions and Military Intervention in Iran (CASMII) is greatly alarmed by the publication in the Observer 10.06.07 of an article "MI6 probes UK link to nuclear trade with Iran", by Mark Townsend, which propagates unfounded allegations and distortions against Iran, similar to the reports in 2003 that paved the way to the bloodbath in Iraq; nearly all of which now discredited.

‘Cleansing’ the Two-state ‘Vision’ in Jerusalem

12-06-2007 17:17

“Israel Slides towards the Disastrous One State Trap,” The Baltimore Sun’s editorial concluded on June 5. The conclusion is no more true than in Jerusalem, where systematically and persistently Israel is accelerating her “Israelization” plans for eastern Jerusalem that will in the foreseen future doom the “land-for-peace” formula as obsolete, outdated and dead letter.

Why your revolution is no liberation!

12-06-2007 16:33

Fight Antisemitism!
During the recent weeks and months a spirited debate developed in different German left wing newspapers and groups about the sense or non-sense, the perspectives and the means and goals of the mobilisation against the G8 summit. Different German and Austrian anti-fascist groups started a campaign to criticise a wrong analysis of capitalism widely spread in the anti-globalisation movement. In the context of this campaign several public discussions and lectures were held, a special webpage was set up but above all reader was published that contains a set of basic texts referring to this problem. This reader is available in German and English and will soon also be published in French in order to spread the debate also across other countries. Check it out: www.no-liberation-reader.tk
