I am from Oxford but have lived and worked in Afghansitan for two and half years. Kabul was supposed to be safe from mass violence so the recent rioting comes as a shock to many. Bush's success story dos not look so successful.

Australia (the deputy sheriff) is expected to ‘step up to the plate’ and safeguard western interests in that region. Timor is the first test of deputy (dog) in the region and to date the deputy appears to be weakening at the knees.
