Wikileaks.org describes itself as "an uncensorable Wikipedia for untraceable mass document leaking and analysis. Our primary interest is in exposing oppressive regimes in Asia, the former Soviet bloc, Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East, but we also expect to be of assistance to people of all regions who wish to reveal unethical behavior in their governments and corporation". In recent years it has stood up against the US government, Swiss bankers, African dictators, and more. Most recently, it has faced a new enemy: the money-hungry cult known as the Church of Scientology.

Operation Reconnect: Birmingham

Birmingham, April 5, 2008 -- Beginning at 11AM on April 12th, 2008, the group known as Anonymous will launch "Operation: Reconnect", an initiative designed to bring together families who have been torn apart and injured by the Church of Scientology's Disconnection Policy. Operation Reconnect in Birmingham will begin with a peaceful protest at 11AM on Ethel Street, off New Street, looking to continue until about 4PM. Dr Martin Poulter, a long standing critic and expert of the Church, will be in attendance, speaking to the public and giving interviews.

Violence used to break hunger strike in Harmondsworth

On Saturday 5th April , between 5 and 6 in the morning, around 50 police in riot gear entered Harmodsworth immigration removal centre and took 30 detainees away. Most of them have been put in isolation or into common prisons, effectively preventing them from communicating with the outside.

Toby Kendall, who works for C2i International, a "special risk management" firm, thought he was undercover in our London group, gathering information on what we're up to. Instead we've been feeding the 'revenge movie' obssesed mole false information, which he's been reporting to the aviation industry for months.

Militarization in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico

Last Wednesday April 3 elements of the Polícia Federal arrested activist Cipriana Jurado leader of the Non-Governmental Organization, Centro de Investigacion y Solidaridad Obrera (CISO) and the comrade Carlos Chavez of the organization Agrodinámica Nacional. At around 3 in the afternoon agents of the Federal police aboard a car without registration plates stopped by force comrade Cipriana and forced her into the unit, alleging that there was an arrest warrant against her which was never shown during the arrest, nor when she was transferred to the Rehabilitation Centre for Adults (CERESO).
