Information about arrested Petersburg anarchists and call for solidarity actions

2 anarchists from Petersburg as well as Chechen from Novgorod Hasan Didigov are still being held in jail in Novgorod. They are suspected of blowing up "Nevsky express" train in Novgorod region which happened on the 13th of August 2007. According to the law people suspected of terrorism may be arrested for 30 days, but we demand their immediate release.

We Won.... Kenneth Foster Death Sentence Commuted

Governor Rick Perry accepted a recommendation from the state parole board and said today he would spare condemned prisoner Kenneth Foster from execution and commute his sentence to life. Foster had been scheduled to die on 30th August 2007.

Important news from Germany, where the Federal Prosecution has postponed the appeal hearing by prosecutors who wanted to put Andrej back into solitary confinement after he was released on bail. The postponemnt is to allow time to examine the application of the terrorism law in this case. This is a huge issue. Camberwell Squatted Centre was unexpectedly evicted this morning by the police and high court bailiffs. The building had been occupied since March 2007 and was planning a busy weekend of events including a soca night, a bike wheel making workshop and a vegan cake day.

Gloria “Joy” Jopson-Kintanar has blamed Sison for the murder of her husband, Romulo Kintanar, on Jan. 23, 2003. She and another widow, Veronica Tabara, filed complaints against Sison early last year that served as grounds for the arrest of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) founder in the Netherlands on Tuesday.

Smash EDO Camp still resisting and actions will continue!

17:30 update

Sussex police have taken all the tents including the large marquee.

Someone locked onto the pole of the marquee confused around 50 police for a good hour. Eventually they had to lock-off because police were talking about dismantling the marquee, which would have been extremely dangerous for the locked-on protester.

There are reports that there are still people up in the trees on the site.
