Oxfords alternative political and activist scene is vibrant and large... but it is not very easy to penetrate and access.
In order to facillitate a wider National/international network of activists social and community projects, and campaigns - that believe in organising democratically and horizontally it would be good to start thinking about ways of becoming more high profile and open.

[Milan-Cop9] "UN to allow GM-Trees for producing carbon credits"

Propaganda on, GM-trees that grow high and birds like it.
Diplomats made a draft-plan at the Cop9 Climate Conference in Milan Tuesday that includes genetically-modified trees as a means to generate carbon credits. According to proponents, trees soak up carbon and can be used to reduce the quantity of CO2 in the air, one of the six main greenhousegases. Ministers will arrive in Milan on Wednesday to further discuss.

Campiagn launched to prevent Swindon teenager being deported

A broad based community campaign is promised to defend Swindon teenager Inna Haville from deportation to the Ukraine. Swindon Trades Union Council (TUC) has voted to support a launch meeting for the campaign on Tuesday 16th December, 7:30 at the Friends meeting House, Eastcott Hill Swindon.

Evidence of fraud by Nato at Srebrenica exhumation site

The Kamencia exhumation supposedly uncovered more than 500 victims of the Srebrenica massacre. However, publicity in the SFOR publication seem to suggest that this mass grave was little more than a public relations hoax. This has not stopped it being used in War Crimes proceedings.
