A leading expert on international human rights law says that individuals captured in Afghanistan should be treated as prisoners of war, and be subject to the Geneva Convention. Kenneth Anderson, a professor at American University's Washington College of Law, added that the US government's current plan to try terrorist suspects in military tribunals might not comply with the Geneva Convention's terms.

After weeks of israeli military attacks, with tanks, on palestinian school children, booby traps and and cold blooded murder of alleged terrorist suspects. it's pay back time in Israel, unfortunately instead of Sharon and the band of bigots that run the country being blown to smithereens, it's the ordinary people who have paid the price, just as it will be ordinary, much poorer, palestinian woman and children who will be the targets in the inevitable israeli reprisals.

Irish participation in 'War on Terror' illegal in absence of Dáil vote

Ireland is allowing US warplanes facilities at Shannon, and in doing is is participating in tehso-called 'War on Terror". This action is illegal without a Parliamentary vote. Any Irish citizen can challenge this in the irish Courts.
