POODLE STOOGE RICHARD DESMOND PLOTS TAKEOVER ANTIWAR LABOUR PAPER DAILY MIRROR

13-02-2003 04:41

Few changes in ownership could help Blair more. Organizers of this weekend's anti-war march in London claim they expect as many as a million demonstrators in Hyde Park, which would be the biggest demo in British history. If so, then the Daily Mirror will take much of the credit. As well as printing hundreds of thousands of "Stop The War" leaflets, the Mirror also paid the $15,000 to hire the big screen that will carry giant images of the anti-war speakers -- and their attacks on the Bush-Blair war -- across Hyde Park.

Ahmed from Iraq fears another war

13-02-2003 04:32

Ahmed has more reasons than most to fear the military action that is looming in Iraq, because his brother was killed during the Gulf War in 1991.

American missiles struck the bomb shelter Ahmed's brother was in, killing him and many other children in the shelter.

He hopes military action doesn't happen.

"Peace is better. Why should all the children die - I hope there will be no war.

"One day I'd like to be a doctor to help the children of Iraq."

12-02-2003 19:05

The United States and British governments churned out a barrage of claims last week to justify war over the last week. US Secretary of State Colin Powell marshalled his case speaking to the United Nations. The British government produced yet another dossier. Barely had Powell finished speaking and the British document been published before much of their "evidence" fell apart.
